A great whole team performance by first place U11 Navy today against 2nd place Dacorum in the Garden City League.

A slow start saw the girls 5-6 down going into the 2nd but with a change in attack and the shots finding the ring in the second the team got their act together and started to play like we know they can.

Defensively we were on fire today, the harmonious pairing of Cara Conway Baker (GD) and Rosa Epstein (GK) turning over so many opposition passes in the circle that I lost count, you made it look so easy girls!

In attack the links became more and more confident as the game progressed, new team member Jessica Pullum (WA) working the circle and attacking third strongly with Ellie Bostock (GA), Abigail Harwood (C) and Eliza Pettit (GS).

Well done to Halle Awotar and Marni Kennedy at WD who both played solidly in mid court defence despite both being poorly yesterday.

Congratulations to Eliza Pettit on Player of the Match, I keep re-living that back line pass interception Eliza, it was awesome!
