A challenging battle for U12 Navy last night against Tegate which only highlighted to me how incredibly mature and level headed this little team are, which is invaluable as a squad going forward.

A few ‘Soap Opera’ moments throughout the match which our girls didn’t react to, thank you Wodson parents and supporters for all your encouragement and support!!!!!

Playing without two of our regular shooters and goal keeper the team had to reshuffle with Maria Flynn (WD/GK) making her first full match debut at GS and Bethany Norton (year 6) playing up a year at GK.

The team got off to a steady, yet hesitant start as they settled into their positions against a fiesty Tegate side and from here they grew and blossomed as a team as the match progressed:

1: 8-3 Tegate
2: 13-7 Tegate
3: 18-9 Tegate
4: 22-16 Tegate

It’s fair to say we had too many missed shots in the third quarter which reflected in the final score and doesn’t portray how well overall the team played. The last quarter you came out all guns blazing and played some beautiful netball, well done girls!

Player of the match went to C Gemma Loader who seems to get her hand to everything, well done Gem!

You worked hard last night girls under pressure and out of formation, and you got that all important point despite the defeat, well battled.
