A tough game for U12 Navy last night but the team were well prepared and took to the court with confidence in their recent improvement.

Turnford got off to a flying start, turning over our first centre pass and then following up in succession with 6 quick goals, we needed to react!

The girls knew that acceleration onto the ball and timing were going to be critical tonight if they were to get into this game and slowly before my eyes they started to realise their earlier errors and suddenly we had 2 great goals in the net!

End of first quarter 10-2 Turnford.

The girls were given the goal of scoring 2 goals per quarter, to drive in front at speed and not to go too early, they listened and applied and scored 3 goals in the 2nd quarter and minimised Turnfords scoring rate down to 7 goals.

End of second quarter 17-5 Turnford.

The third quarter we started to get hot and tired and with no fresh legs it was going to be a case of keeping our heads above water and pushing through, another 2 goals resulted!

Saving the best until last in the final quarter the team scored 4 goals to Turnfords 10, final score 39-11.

Despite the loss, I think the girls learnt a lot last night and they got better and better as the match progressed.

If everyone of you learns one new thing at every game then overall we can only ever be a stronger team together.
