U13 Navy proved last night that a winning attitude is the key to success!

Up against Turnford Typhoons for the second time in 3 weeks the girls were still nursing the wounds from the unexpected and heavy loss in May where Turnford dominated winning 32-12!

History does have a habit of repeating itself but last night U13 Navy came out all guns blazing and were not going to concede so easily this time.

A strong start saw Turnfords first centre pass turned over and in two shakes of a horses tail Navy were up 3-0.

A strongly contested game in the attacking circle saw Connie Gibbs having to hold her ground for every inch of space and subsequent ball, this was a battle both mentally and physically but it was the key to retaining our lead and not letting Turnford make us doubt ourselves again.

Well done to all the team, you gave it everything you had last night and mentally you were so strong!

Player of the match went to captain Jade Straker at GD, well done Jade, I could see the smoke coming up from the tarmac under your feet as you blocked the GA from circle entry!

Special mention must also go to Connie Gibbs at GS who had a really challenging time in that circle, well done Connie, you really stood your ground!
