On to the second match of the morning for the girls.

With a break of 45 minutes after their first game the girls went off to get a hot chocolate and dry off. All matches were moved inside.

So into the hall we went to take on Storm Sprites.

What I didn't know however until this point, was that the winners of this match won the league!!!!!!! OMG - do I tell the girls or not ? I decided not to and they played oblivious to the fact (except for their motivational captain Brooke Taylor) who was here there and everywhere on court today. Phenomenal workrate as always Brooke.

The match was incredibly close all the way through , swinging this way and that, only one goal between the teams for the first 3 quarters . The atmosphere in the hall reached fever point and the girls were playing amazing. Everyone was cheering and watching from the corridor outside !!!! It was like the England Roses v Australia final :)

A strong last quarter saw the girls slowly begin to creep ahead , Abigail Harwood GA and Jessica Pullum GS keeping their cool in the circle ( which is more than can be said for me or our parents! ) - Keira Straker WA , and Lilly Adams C, timing their feeds in beautifully. Grace Cox GK , Brooke Taylor GD and Lily Rogers WD , defending their little socks off.

Final whistle 22-17 to Wodson ................................... yes league champions. Captain fantastic Brooke Taylor earning another POM - well done Brookie.

Well done to each and everyone of you girls, you were immense in this game. Thank you to Jessica Pullum, Abigail Harwood and Keira Straker for helping out.
