Early yesterday morning saw Wodson Sky U13 play their first match in a number of weeks . With a couple of players missing , thanks goes to Cara Conway - Baker for playing up to help out.

This in mind AFN started the first quarter confidently and went 3-0 up quickly, the girls needed to step up to the challenge. They did exactly that and the first quarter ended 5-4 to AFN . Second quarter saw a change of position for Robyn Langlands to GD ( from GK) and Cara to GK (from GD). This combined with Amy Merrell at WD strengthened the defensive play even further. Some great interceptions from Isobel Hargreaves C with help from Kiera Awotar WA and Imogen Barnes GA and Gracie Pegg GS were able to score 6 goals compared to AFN's 2 .

Third quarter and AFN started to come back but Wodson matched them goal for goal finishing 14 -11 Wodson , both teams scoring 4 goals a piece.

What a battle the final quarter was - both teams giving everything and going for the win. Wodson scoring 7 to AFN's 8 and finishing eventual winners.

A great result and a much deserved and fought for win for these girls.
